CHAPTER FIFTEEN
MALYYSTRAZZA STARED IN shock at the unmoving garnet form of her savior. No less than four times today, he had saved her, and now he was gone.
She didn’t want to believe it. He was too strong, too good, too… too everything to be dead. Not when his survival had been so close!
This wasn’t fair! How could the gods allow this? Even Tiamat, the Lady of Chaos herself could not be so callous, could she?
I didn’t even have a chance to thank him! she wailed silently.
